Question by Skye: Where can I raise money online for a birthday present?
My boyfriend is a photographer and I am trying to get him a lense that cost a pretty penny. I want to put up a site where people can put in money in right there online if they want to help towards his gift. Does anyone know of a site like this?? That won’t take money out for doing it? Help!! Thanks!

I don’t know of a site that does such a thing totally for free, and this is a topic that I’ve researched before. However, GoFundMe.com offers really cool personal fundraising tools and only takes a 5% cut. You get your own fundraising website, you can share the fund directly using Facebook, Twitter, email, etc., and they work with PayPal.
