Please, no jokes or links to scam websites. I’m just interested/curious to know whether it’s possible for a Briton of fifteen years to make a bit of decent money online without becoming a YouTube partner or something.

Here is my real answer.
From my experience, you could do freelance computer graphics work, it had worked for me when I was younger. But for that you need artistic skills.
I do know a lot of teenagers who took naked photos of themselves and sold them online. This is ILLEGAL, of course, but it makes the most money (please do not do that).
Other than that, there are child-labor laws and interstate commerce laws that prevent anyone under 18 from working in most cases.
There is a neat site that teaches you how to make money with Clickbank and best of all the site is free to join. See the link in the source box to join the site. My friend loves it and has already started making money. Hope you have the same success with it.
It is possible, however it will take more time to earn what money you might make, as opposed to working at an actual store or company… so I wouldn’t say you’d make “decent’ money.
There are freelance websites for writers, web designers, etc. You can sell things on ebay, craigslist, or other local sites. There ARE a few legit Paid Survey sites but really those are only for EXTRA spending cash, you wont make much money at all.

It’s very possible for teens to make money online no matter where you may be in the world, that’s because the internet is accessible from just about anywhere you can get a good connection, wired or not.
You do have to avoid the scam websites out there, but if you stick with the bigger ones with good reputation, like Amazon, Google, eBay or Clickbank, then you should be ok.
To make money, signup as an affiliate and promote products being sold by them, for ebay, just sell stuff you or your parents already have and can do without.
To learn how to promote or market the products you choose, there are plenty of books on the topic, just pick one up from your local bookstore or from Amazon or clickbank. Look for the ones that have good reviews and then study and learn it yourself.
The easiest way to make money online is by learning from those who are already successful at it!
