If there are any real opportunities, they are buried among all the scams.

Sure, many people will pay you good money to stay home in your underwear and surf the net.
I am into Internet Marketing and CPA since 2-3 months. If you are patient and willing to learn, you can make a lot of money online. PTC are just scam. Don’t bother to sign up on them. Try your hands on Internet Marketing. This should help a beginner : http://tipstoearnonline.net/
Yeah, but for the time and effort it takes, it’s really not worth it. Sites like treasuretroopers.com will have you on the net for several hours to make like twenty bucks at the end of the week for completing surveys. They have deals where they will give you $15 for applying for a credit card. Other than that, there are other opportunities that require some money up front and a bit of luck.
Two examples are
1. Youtube-People that put in money for a nice camera and the time for a great show can have very rewarding cash flow from the advertisements viewers see. If you can rack up a consistent number of views(1 mil+ for every vid or something not to far from that) then it’s possible to quit your job). All the guys from “Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?” do not have jobs because of the cash flow.
2. Second Life- You will need to buy and sell property with your own money. Once you can spend some serious time on getting a place how you want it, it’s possible to sell to other people. There was a guy not too long ago(look in news) that sold a piece of virtual property for like $400,000.
They exist, but you may need education and experience.
For example, I’m a freelance writer. My two main clients are both online companies (Demand Media Studios and Break Studios).
If you have an English or journalism degree or education/experience in writing or journalism, send in your application and resume.

If you have no experience in that area, but still want to write and earn money through page views or Google clicks, try Yahoo Contributor site (formerly Associated Content) or Bukisa.

If you’re not a writer and want to make a bit of extra cash another way, such as tweeting, try Sponsored Tweets. You get paid for tweeting ads for sponsors.

It’s not a way of making a lot of income, but it’s okay for extra money. Works for me, anyway. It does take a bit of time getting started because you have to wait for offers and opportunities to come. When you first sign up, there should be a few opportunities to look into. For me, within the next few hours, I had a couple of offers.
It advises that new people with a small amount of followers start at $.10 CPC (cost per click) rate. I’ve found that you can make a few dollars every few days that way.
It’s not a lot, but it’s extra money for practically sitting around and doing no work for it.
These are ways that I make money online.
I used to be a teacher, but now I’m a freelance writer. The two companies, BS and DMS, are ones that I make a real income with.
I use Y! Contributor and Bukisa on the side for extra money, and I use Sponsored Tweets with my Twitter account (http://twitter.com/Tobi_Is_Fab) also for extra cash on the side. With these, I practically sit back and do nothing to get the extra money, which is great so I can focus on all of my writing deadlines for DMS and BS.

Yeah, its a real thing. Its a damn shame that the good opportunities are alongside the waste of time scams. There are many ways of making money online, and some are much more effective than others. There are too many scams out there so beware.
be very weary of programs that require you to pay while signing up, those are a rip off to say the least.
many programs like google adsense, info links, click bank, etc are legit programs that CAN pay well only if you’re dedicated to it. ClickBank is not an excellent programs since they sell a lot of garbage, but you do get commission for every sale you make through it just as you would for any legit affiliate program.
