It seems to me that various money making sites which ask you for money up front could just deduct that amount from your profits as long as you sign an agreement with them stating that fact. I would be more than willing to comply. But do they exist? I’m VERY broke but want to work online (exclude survey taking).

I don’t trust ANY site that says you can make money and asks you money.
The only person making money is the website.
Why not try eBay. If you are clever about what you buy/sell, you can make an honest living. Maybe read a little about how to best go about making money on eBay but I know people who have done this.
You could buy cheap things at markets and sell then online for a profit.
PLEASE PLEASE do not give anyone money online.
Please ignore scam websites advertised on here.

I make a bit of spending money by selling books on Half.com. It’s a part of Ebay, legitimate. Amazon has a program for people to sell books as well but they take a larger cut.
Find free books wherever you can and list them for sale. Also, your local library may have books on sale. If you can get a book for 50 cents or less you can resell it on Half.com and probably make $1.50 or more, depending on the demand. I just bought a book for 50 cents and sold it for a total profit of $3.68.

Yeah, things that ask you to pay upfront are almost always scams. Don’t join them. There are a ton of free to join websites out there. Aside from surveys, there’s GPT and paid to post, both of which can pay pretty well. You can do both without giving away credit card info, too.
