I am a hard working husband and father who is wondering how someone can make a little extra money through an online program. Any ideas?

I would recommend doing research and to try to sell stuff on Ebay. That’s probably your best bet, since the other things listed by other posters are scams.
You opened up a big can of worms with that one.
Look, there are a million and one ways to make money online and most of them are wholly legit.
However, there are some bad apples in the barrel who will attempt to separate you from your wallet as you look for a way to make some cash.
Keep your wits about you as you assess options and consider your time availability, interests, skills and willingness to follow through as you make your decision.
