Q&A: Opinions on the best ways to make money online?

This question gets asked 100 times a day on yahoo, and every one of those gets spammed to hell and back.

Because of that, you shouldn’t trust anyone here, not even me.

That said, if you want some sites with free legit information to help you find a way that could work for you, all the sites below are free, no sign up and annoying ads.

Well, I have some buddies that buy stuff from craigslist or ebay and then turn around and sell it for more money. Just make sure you are getting solid deals on stuff. For instance if it is spring and you come across hunting stuff or fishing stuff, buy it cheap when nobody is looking for it, then sell it come fall when everyone is looking for the stuff.

I have been using a website called cashcrate. You fill out surveys to make anywhere from 25 cents to a few dollars per survey. Sadly, there are only two ways that I’ve found to make money online.

1. Set up one of the thousand or more bogus, spamming, phishing webpages and wait for the suckers to come rolling in.

2. Sell something you have or can buy for cheap on Ebay, Craig’s List, etc.

Let’s just assume you don’t want to try number one.

Number two can be lucrative, but you have to remember that you WILL get some wackos. Ever heard of the Craig’s List Killer? That’s not an urban legend! But even if you don’t get one of those, you probably will get people who take your stuff and never pay. You can ask for the money up front, but why should anybody trust you?

It just goes around and around. Frankly, I don’t see how anybody makes money off the web without being a crook or a con man or being armed all the time. I’ve tried for years to supplement my income any way I could including Amway and Nutrition For Life, and I’ve come to the conclusion that in order to make a sales job work, you have to be a really good salesperson.

And if you’re a really good salesperson, you can get a legitimate job.

Besides, who wants to be a salesperson?
